Abi Hurcomb is a British cinematographer who, after completing an MA in cinematography at film school, has dedicated her career to the art of visual storytelling. Through her craft, she understands the power of cinematography to elevate narratives. Her approach is not just about capturing scenes but about harnessing the art of cinematography to amplify or contrast, to ignite or subdue, effectively becoming an additional layer of storytelling in every film. She knows how to wield colour, light, movement, and framing to create unique visual experiences tailored for each project.
In addition to her work as a cinematographer, Abi has had a very successful career in lighting. She has gaffered high-end commercials for brands such as E.L.F, Adidas, Nike, Knorr, and Vodafone, to name a few. She has also worked as Floor Best Girl on major motion pictures such as “Back to Black,” the Amy Winehouse Biopic, MGM’s “Boys in the Boat,” and the Netflix series “Lockwood & Co.”
